Amanda Lawson

Amanda Lawson is a graduate student in History at Miami University. She graduated from Miami in 2015 with a Bachelor of Arts in History and in Latin American, Latino/a, Caribbean Studies. Her undergraduate thesis, “Perfect Partnership: the Disney Studio and the United States Government in World War II” centered on the rise and fall of the relationship that led to Disney-produced propaganda and military film under contract by the US government during and after the Second World War. After two years away from academia, she returned to Miami to pursue her Master’s degree with a focus on United States-Latin American foreign relations history as it pertains to development in the Postwar period.
