Dallas DeForest is a Ph.D. candidate in ancient history at Ohio State University, with minor fields in Byzantine history, early Christianity and classical archaeology. He received his M.A. from Ohio State University (2007) and his B.A. from the University of Richmond (2002). His research interests include the archaeology of late antique and Byzantine Greece, urbanism in late antiquity, and Byzantium under the Komnenoi. His dissertation is a study of the Roman baths of Greece during the late antique era (3-7th centuries AD). He is also a staff member of the Ohio State University Excavations at Isthmia, Greece, and is currently the public outreach coordinator for the Ohio State University Museum of Classical Archaeology.
