Greg Anderson is a Professor of History at Ohio State University, where he has taught since 2005. He specializes in the histories of non-modern peoples and contemporary critical thought. His work uses history to press the case that humans have always lived in a “pluriverse” of many different worlds, not in a universe of just one. It also explores how this radical shift in perspective changes the way we think about life on earth in the past, present, and future. His most recent book is The Realness of Things Past (Oxford University Press, 2018), which explains why we need to study peoples of the past on their own terms, in their own worlds of experience.
