Russell Field

Russel Field is a professor of history at the University of Manitoba specializing in the socio-cultural study of sport and physical activity. He studies global sporting events as sites of resistance and protest. He is the author of The History of Politics of Sport-for-Development: Activists, Ideologies and Reformers, published by Routledge in 2011.
