Russell Field

Russell Field is a professor of history at the University of Manitoba specializing in the socio-cultural study of sport and physical activity. He studies global sporting events as sites of resistance and protest. He is the author of A Night at the Gardens: Class, gender, and respectability in 1930s Toronto, published by Toronto Press in 2023.
