Alison Efford

Alison Efford is a doctoral candidate in Early American History. Her research interests include immigration, race, and ethnicity in nineteenth-century America, with a particular focus on the Civil War and Reconstruction period. She is currently working on a dissertation tentatively titled, "German Immigrants and American Citizenship during Reconstruction, 1865-1877." She enjoys teaching the American history survey and is interested in world history.
