Ella Israeli is currently a member of the Avodah Jewish Service Corps working as an Intake and Public Benefits Advocate at The Bronx Defenders, a leading, holistic public defenders office in the Bronx. The daughter and granddaughter of Israeli immigrants, she has visited Israel/Palestine multiple times, including as a member of the Center for Jewish Nonviolence to do Palestinian-solidarity work. She has several years of experience working with J Street, an American organization working towards peace in the region. Her previous articles on Israel/Palestine have been published on J Street's blog and the Palestine-Israel Journal. She graduated with a BA in Comparative Politics from Wesleyan University, with a minor in Creative Nonfiction Writing.
