Morgan Myers

Morgan (B.A. Classics, Florida State University) is interested in the relationship between normative and actual cultural values in the Roman world. She is also interested in how Roman views of marriage interact with emerging Christian ascetic continence in the Acts of Thecla. Her current research focuses on the events of 88 BC and the motivations of P. Sulpicius Rufus. She also moonlights as a Graecophile, and enjoys things like particles, Hellenic history, and is hoping to read some ancient novels soon. She is glad we have the Socratic method, but sympathizes with the Athenians who put him to death.
