Stephanie Honchell Smith

Stephanie Honchell Smith earned her PhD from Ohio State in 2015, with a focus on Central Asian and Islamic history. She has taught at Fort Lewis College (Visiting Assistant Professor), Fairleigh Dickinson University (Assistant Professor), and the University of Cape Town (Visiting Academic). She currently lives in Cape Town, South Africa, where she teaches online courses and writes historical scripts for TED-Ed’s animated educational videos.
