Will Elgin

William B. Elgin is a master’s student in the history department at Miami University. He received his bachelor’s degree from Miami University (2019) in history with a minor in political science. He studies Early Modern European history, with a specific focus on the Spanish Habsburg dynasty and empire. His master’s thesis research focuses on the Itinerario of Jan Huygen van Linschoten and its influence on the development of the British and Dutch colonial empires.
