Evan R. Ash is a second year master’s student in history at Miami University. He specializes in 20th century United States history with a special interest in the cultural history of the early domestic Cold War. His thesis, “Objectionable: The Cincinnati Committee for the Evaluation of Comics and the American Anti-Comics Movement, 1940–1956” constructs a narrative of how a Cincinnati comics regulation group decidedly influenced the national discussion over kids and comics.
