Josh Wood

Josh Wood is a lecturer in American history at the Ohio State University. His work focuses on race relations, state formation, and citizenship in the 19th century. His dissertation was a local history on the application of Ohio's black laws in Chillicothe, OH between 1800 and 1850. He is currently working on a digital history project that provides visualizations of the migration of African Americans into Ohio as recorded by census and court records.
