Leticia is a PhD candidate and graduate associate in Ohio State’s Department of History. Her research interests include Modern U.S. History, Women/Gender/Sexuality Studies, and Latin American History. She is currently serving as the managing editor for Origins. Interested in the relationship between institutions, place, and activism, she is studying the Chicano Movement (1970s-80s) in the Midwest as part of a greater dissertation project. The project is an intellectual history of the political ideas forming the basis of Midwestern Latino/a activism within a unique regional and institutional context.
