Max von Bargen

Max von Bargen is a military historian specializing in strategy and grand strategy. He earned his PhD in History at The Ohio State University in May 2020, where his dissertation focused on the relationship between grand strategy and alliance politics in the Anglo-American “Special Relationship” from 1981 to 1991. Before coming to Ohio State, he worked for Giant Oak, Inc. as a contractor for the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), where he assisted in the development of advanced data analysis software.
