From time to time, we like to take a moment to highlight fantastic history sites from around the web. These are websites that – much like Origins – seek to bring history into public conversation.
This month, we’re introducing you to some new sound on the web, as we add our very first podcast recommendation into the mix. The Exploring Environmental History Podcast includes conversations dedicated to explaining how human societies lived in past environments (much like our interview on climate change and the arctic).
Featuring interviews with field workers, conferences, and historiographical discussions, this podcast has plenty of episodes to choose from, with recordings dating back to 2006.
These podcasts are part of the greater Environmental History Resources site managed by Dr. Jan Oosthoek. Based out of the Australian city of Brisbane, the site’s goal is to cover a broad range of environmental topics using interdisciplinary approaches. By all means check it out!
